Sean Andrish and Others Rock the Finger Lakes 50 (Ithaca Star-Gazette)

Sean Andrish (2005 100-mile Trail National Champion) and Becky Harman won the Finger Lakes 50k in Western New York last weekend, with Ryutaro Hirai from Japan and Katie Stettler winning the 50 miler. The conditions sounded challenging - "mud, butterflies, and wildflowers".

The results put Becky Harman in the lead for the hotly contested Women's division of the 2006 Western New York Ultra Series.

  1. Scott,

You don't know me...but your sister-in-law, Jen Drue, is great friends with my wife, Heather Clifton, now Heather Smith. Jen told me about your blog a while back and I have been checking it out...I'm running my first marathon ever...Chicago in October...so if you have any advice for a first timer, let me know.

  3. This race was my first Ultra (I did the 50K)... The mud on the second lap was really hard to deal with, but I survived (which was my only goal). It was a great race...

    Oh, and you misspelled Ithaca...
