Mo Farah Takes On The World

5k/10k 2012 Gold Medalist Mo Farah is ready to take on the just about any distance. He couldn't get the 1500m added to go for three Golds at the World Championship, but he's got plenty cooking...

He will be taking on Ethiopian superstars Kenenisa Bekele and Haile Gebrselassie at the Bupa Great North Run Half Marathon on September 15th, the first time the three will compete head to head.

And just to make it interesting, he has invited 100m/200m Gold Medalist and World Champion Usain Bolt to a 600-meter competition to raise money for charity.

Any time, any distance. Love it!

  1. Nice article! Should be a nice show down if it happens. I see that Pikes Peak is 2 weeks away. You put 4:10 as your prediction, that would've placed you in 6th place last year!!! Do you still think you can hit that?!! :) I'll be "attempting" Leadville 27 hours before you start your race!

    1. Good luck at Leadville!

I predicted 4:10?!? Clearly delusional if so. I'm thinking 5:10 is a good stretch goal.

  2. I love hearing anything about Mo Farah! He's such a great athlete and hard worker. Cool blog! I have a blog about running, faith, family, and everything else in the life of a soon-to-be college student. Check it out:
