Honestly, I'm not sure if I could ever be competitive in the ultra category, where multiplier points are only given to the top 3 men/women overall (va top 3 in age group for the Non-Ultra races). Who knows, perhaps if you or I place top 3 at the TRT 100 we'll be in the running!

A quick glance at winners over the last couple of years would indicate that you would need 2-3 top 3 ultra finishes to win that category (like Graham Cooper, who won WS100 and placed at AR50, Quicksilver, and Ohlone; or Van Phan who chalked up 5 ultra wins in the Series including 4 100-milers). The Non-ultra would likely require 8-10 top age group finishes including at least one marathon win. Either way, it's a competitive series that is much easier to tackle with some local races as a foundation.

Maybe next year!

SDScott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-40541551304193090352007-04-27T14:16:00.000-07:002007-04-27T14:16:00.000-07:00Hey, I expected to see your name in the top 10, Sc...Hey, I expected to see your name in the top 10, Scott :)

Just noticed that the TRT100 is part of the series.
