It's really fun to hear the perspectives along the course! I'm so pleased you have all become run/blog addicts. I have been living vicariously. ;-)

Recovery is going well, and I'm back on the trails this week. Just posted a new link about it. I'm keeping the Sierra Nevada Double on the schedule in hopes I can ramp up to it, although it's definitely a stretch goal. Glad to be back!

SDScott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-87010160633352514932007-08-28T16:29:00.000-07:002007-08-28T16:29:00.000-07:00Thanks for the coverage, Scott. And, as I said in my account of the day, tough but great course.

Any healing progress on your end?

Jean.

PS: BTW, thanks for posting Devon's post too.Jean Pommierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12590228467214315945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-90657252650891357122007-08-27T19:13:00.000-07:002007-08-27T19:13:00.000-07:00More on Ed Baker's Blog.More on Ed Baker's Blog.Scott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-31579230282739541842007-08-27T13:46:00.000-07:002007-08-27T13:46:00.000-07:00Congrats everyone. Unlike last year, when the first 3 women took off early and I never came close to them, this year I had the pleasure of running for a short time close to or with each of the 3 leaders. In fact, I credit (and blogged) the women's winner, Bev, with saving my stupid ass so I could finish the race. Thanks, Bev!Mark Tanaka (Ultrailnakaman)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13506740152878287937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-83434312032803445252007-08-27T10:57:00.000-07:002007-08-27T10:57:00.000-07:00Thanks for the posting Scott. In 2006 she was the rookie with Nikki, Kami and herself being within sight of each other for a long part of the race. Caren said that really helped motivate her to attack the downhills. This year Bev charged out strong from the start and Caren said the fact she could not see Bev charging down the hills gave her less motivation to scream down them at breakneck speed. Congrats to the well-deserved winners!!

Good call by Will, it would have been fascinating to see Lon out there. Hope you had a fun morning in the Oakland hills.

Cheers, PaulPaul Charterishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02831196294867106529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-90610986196432223692007-08-27T08:32:00.000-07:002007-08-27T08:32:00.000-07:00Devon's write up is here.SDDevon's write up is here.

SDScott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-28196418831370483512007-08-27T08:03:00.000-07:002007-08-27T08:03:00.000-07:00Way to go, Bev!!!Way to go, Bev!!!Olgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00493291972954387932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-80229744855777883432007-08-26T22:10:00.000-07:002007-08-26T22:10:00.000-07:00Wow, what a terrific field of runners/top finisher...Wow, what a terrific field of runners/top finishers...congrats to all.
