I didn't realize the Nevada Passage folks had announced their players for 2006. Thanks for pointing that out.

If you want to compete in their "open" competition, you just need to sign up. Although I haven't competed in XTerra, I've been to many of their events and they always do a good job for their athletes.

If you want to compete in the Nevada Passage Reality Show, you better know somebody at XTerraPlanet and have competed in XTerra events. If you search on the names of the competitors, you will see they are all XTerra regional champions, event coordinators, etc.. There is no application process, no nomination process, etc. - they just pick amongst their own from what I can tell.

Now that I see that, I'm not sure what I was thinking hoping to be invited. Alas!

SDScott Dunlaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096284778835123584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-1140744463139352822006-02-23T17:27:00.000-08:002006-02-23T17:27:00.000-08:00Hey, Scott!I saw you didn't make the cut on the Ne...Hey, Scott!
I saw you didn't make the cut on the Nevada Passage Reality Show. And while normally I would say the kid sleds are a great idea, I would leave your daughter at home for this one. The finish is somewhat akin to a luge. Great for spectating.
-GretchenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860166.post-1136423113668926662006-01-04T17:05:00.000-08:002006-01-04T17:05:00.000-08:00Good to know about the socks. Since you know me, and know my style, you'll no doubt figure out that the 100 miles will take place over the duration of 2006, perhaps even sneaking a bit into 2007. Thanks for the info about the Inov-8s. I bought a pair and loved them on their trial run. It wasn't the most revelant test; a 7.5 mile out-n-back on the Sabino Canyon tram paved road pushing my 3 year-old son in the stroller up and down 700 vertical feet. But they felt great and I had a personal best stoller time for that route :) ! Although I wore my Ingini socks and the high cuff of the Flyrocs rubbed the socks hard logo through my ankle's skin.Johnny Lyonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10261378093934672640noreply@blogger.com
